Objectives

To build appreciation and familiarity with the retail and manufacturer financial measures, terms, calculations and analytics. To understand the financial measures typically factored into retail and manufacturer decisions. To understand how to utilize these financial measures in day-to-day buying, selling and merchandising activities to improve overall performance.

Description

The course participant will gain an appreciation and better understanding of the financial measures and calculations most commonly utilized by retailers and manufacturers with the consumer products industry. This will include emerging and advanced financial measures that are becoming more accepted and are having a significant impact on retail and manufacturer category planning and implementation decisions. The participant will learn how to apply these financial measures to their day-to-day decision making.
