Training offerings (standard or tailored versions) are eligible for continuing education unit (CEU) and for professional development unit (PDU) credit through Walton College Executive Education. In addition, anyone completing the requisite number of hours of Core and Elective Courses, as well as demonstrating their ability to manage a project can receive a Certificate in Project Management from Walton College Executive Education.

To demonstrate their ability to effectively manage a project, a candidate for the certificate

  • Collects the work products for a project they have managed (through a complete life cycle, if possible)
  • Builds a presentation about how they planned and managed the project
  • Discusses the approach and results with a panel of at least 3 qualified project management mentors

The mentors rate the candidate's ability as pass/fail, based on the material provided, the presentation given, and the ability of the candidate to address the questions.
